DRC: Journalist killed in domestic violence incident gets justice

On January 5, 2022, Congolese journalist Charline Kitoko was killed by her husband in a domestic violence incident in Mwenga, South Kivu.  Her murder sparked a debate in the media, led by JHR-DRC and partner organizations Association des Femmes des Médias (AFEM) and Congolese Union of Media Women (UCOFEM), about unchecked domestic violence in DRC.
