Following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria on December 8, 2024, JHR’s team in Gaziantep conducted street interviews with Syrians, asking about their expectations for the media in a dictator-free Syria. They called for a press that reports the truth, reflects the people’s real experiences, and fosters mutual respect among Syria’s diverse communities.
