Programs

Amplifying Voices of Women and Girls

Program overview

The Project will enhance participation in inclusive governance by women and girls in nation-building
and democratic processes in 10 countries across Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. By training journalists to ethically report on women’s rights and political participation, and by countering disinformation campaigns, the project seeks to dismantle harmful stereotypes and create a more inclusive media landscape.

The project will also sensitize media to center human rights in coverage, fostering collaboration between journalists, civil society, and government officials to promote more informed public discussions. By galvanizing public opinion and influencing policy reforms, it aims to boost public accountability on human rights issues. Key stakeholders include grassroots women’s rights movements, civil society organizations, community groups, activists, and government officials.
