Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) is looking for a Gender-media Trainer to work with JHR’s team in Gaziantep, Turkey. The Gender-media Trainer will work closely with the country manager and the Journalism Team Leader on implementing the project “Canada World: Voice for Women & Girls”. The Gender-media Trainer is assigned to all targeted media outlets on a rotational basis. In addition to the tasks conducted by the media trainers, the gender media trainer will also support the implementation of the component that is focused on building the capacity of local media on covering human rights through gender sensitive reporting. The project targets working with Syrian media and civil society in Turkey.
The work will include training and mentoring local media professionals, such as journalists, journalism students and media managers under the supervision of the project manager and in collaboration with the Journalism Team leader and the Gender Specialist.
