Following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria on December 8, 2024, JHR’s team in Gaziantep conducted street interviews with Syrians, asking about their expectations for the media in a dictator-free Syria. They called for a press that reports the truth, reflects the people’s real experiences, and fosters mutual respect among Syria’s diverse communities.

Last week, JHR’s field office staff in Turkey organized the inaugural training sessions for one of our newest projects, the Connected Protection Journey.
