The Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI) has introduced a certification that is helping newsrooms around the world showcase their ethical journalistic practices and thus enhance trust with their audience.
To facilitate the certification process, JTI has launched the JTI Campus, a learning platform through which newsrooms can complete self-assessment checks in order to get certified. The platform features courses from some of the world’s leading journalism trainers and media development organisations on ethical and editorial issues ranging from user-generated content to the ethical use of AI in the newsroom.
Why should your newsroom get certified?
It’s all about credibility! JTI certification helps you restore public trust, ensure ethical standards, and stand out in the media landscape.
How to apply?
It’s simple! Complete the self-assessment on the JTI App, publish your Transparency Report, and enter our grant competition. If you reach the standard, the grant will cover your certification costs.
